For instance, 1 in 6 people don’t have access to safe drinking water.

That’s one billion people.

Over 2 billion people don’t have proper sanitation and the resulting diseases such as cholera, typhoid and dysentery kill 5,000 children in the developing world each day. In fact a child under the age of 5 dies every 17 seconds.
